A familiar bed is the fastest way to settle a dog somewhere new, and it does more for anxiety in a hotel room than anything you can buy on arrival. Look for a washable cover and a style that folds small enough to actually take with you.

These are thinner than a household bed by design. For a senior dog or a hard floor, choose one with real foam rather than a thin mat.
