Bowls
Dog bowls: ceramic, stainless and melamine styles, patterned and designer finishes, and sets with stands.
Choosing a material
Stainless is the most hygienic and will not chip. Ceramic is heavier so it stays put, and holds a glaze and pattern. Check that any glaze is food safe. Plastic scratches easily and those scratches hold bacteria, which is why we keep it minimal.
Size and shape
Shallow, wide bowls suit flat-faced breeds and long-eared dogs do better with a narrow, deep bowl that keeps ears out of the food. Wash water bowls daily; slime builds up faster than most people think.
