Paws and noses

Pavement, salted sidewalks and dry indoor heat all crack paw pads and noses. A balm restores the surface and is worth keeping by the door through summer and winter alike.

Skin relief

Soothing salves help with a localized dry patch or minor irritation between baths.

Patch-test on a small area first. Most balms are licked off to some degree, so choose a product that is safe if ingested. A hot spot that spreads, weeps or smells needs a vet, not a balm.
