Choosing a width and length

Match the width to your dog's size; a heavy lead and clip are uncomfortable on a very small dog, and a narrow one is not right for a strong puller. Standard lengths suit sidewalk walking, longer leads give more freedom in open space.

Matching sets

Many of these have a coordinating collar or harness in the same print, so the set can be bought together.

Care

Nylon washes easily and dries fast, which is why it outlasts leather on muddy dogs. Check the clip and stitching periodically and retire a lead once either shows wear.
