Why raise a bowl

A raised bowl brings the food closer to a comfortable head height, which helps tall dogs, senior dogs and anyone with neck or joint stiffness eat without crouching. It also keeps bowls from sliding across the floor.

Height and fit

Aim for the bowl rim to sit roughly at your dog's chest height, at the lower shoulder rather than the chin. Check the stand dimensions against the bowls you own, since many stands take a specific bowl diameter.
